Prominent Southern California trainer Alan Sherman is the world class assistant trainer of 2016 World Cup, Preakness Stakes & Kentucky Derby winner, California Chrome.
Trainer Alan Sherman is from San Mateo California. He started galloping horses at 16 and jockeyed his first race when he was 17 years old. Alan went to the Southern California circuit soon after that and rode numerous winners for trainer Charlie Whittingham. He rode for 3 years and then got to big. Alan started working full time for His father Art Sherman in 1991. While working with his father and brother Steve, Sherman racing has consistently been ranked in the top ten in the country for wins and have placed first in 200 stake races and have entered over 2200 races. The Sherman family currently trains the best horse in the world, California Chrome.
